How Nova Picks works

Nova Picks is deliberately small: one curated selection per day — the Nova Double. This page explains exactly how it works, because a tips section you can't audit is worthless.

The Nova Double

Each day we pick one combined selection — usually two legs, occasionally a single stronger one — with combined odds around 1.80–2.10. That range is a choice: high enough to matter, low enough to be grounded in analysis rather than hope.

How picks are chosen

Picks are human-curated, machine-checked. The process:

1. Statistical screening. An internal engine we built scores every day's fixtures on goal-based markets, using recent team form — last matches overall and at the relevant venue, with friendlies excluded. It narrows hundreds of fixtures down to a shortlist.
2. Human analysis. From that shortlist, we analyse the matchups the way a bettor should: form context, motivation, line-ups, watching the teams play — not just numbers.
3. The discipline filter. If nothing meets the bar, tighter is better than louder. Quality of the record beats quantity of picks.

The rules we can't break

• Every pick is posted before kickoff, with its market and odds visible.
• Picks are never edited or deleted after kickoff.
• Results are graded automatically from final scores — a pick settles itself as Won or Lost; we don't hand-pick the outcome.
• The entire history stays public: every double, every loss, monthly win rates and streaks, on the stats page.

Honest math

At odds around 1.90–2.00, the break-even win rate is roughly 52%. That's the number to compare our track record against — and it's why short streaks, good or bad, mean little. Judge any tips record over months, not days, and be suspicious of anyone who claims otherwise.

What Nova Picks is not

No guaranteed wins. No paid "premium" groups. No screenshots of imaginary slips. If a pick loses, it stays on the record like everything else.
